The Mission & Vision Board is a leadership team, approved by the congregation, to guide and direct the ministries at Christ the King.

Qualifications
 
  • Regularly participate in the worship and educational life of the congregation;
  • Undertake personal spiritual disciplines for the development of their own faith lives;
  • Are good communicators;
  • Are visionary;
  • Can effectively represent the concerns of the “Owners” (Servants, Stewards) of the Congregation;
  • Have had sufficient years of experience in the ministry of the congregation or in another congregation;
  • Understand and support the basic concepts of Policy Based Governance;
  • Are willing and able to support the Core Values of the congregation.
 
Nomination Process
  1. Any member of the Congregation may submit the name of qualified nominees (as outlined above) for the MVB by submitting his or her name on the back of a iAttend Card, in person or by email to any member of the Nominating Committee or to the CTK office.
  2. Upon receipt of the potential nominee’s name, the Nominating Committee will ensure that the nominee receives a MVB Nominee Bio Form, via email if available, or a paper copy if email is not available.
  3. Potential nominees should fill out and return MVB Nominee Bio Form and return to the Nominating Committee, as soon as possible but no later than May 05, 2023. If the nominee is willing to serve and accepts the nomination, he or she shall so indicate on the Nominee Bio Form, and also attach a digital photo (head shot) or make arrangements with the Nominating Committee or the Office to have a photo taken. Upon timely receipt of the completed form and photo by the Nominating Committee, the nomination is considered accepted and the nominee will be included in the published list provided to the Congregation.
  4. All nominations and accompanying digital photos must be received by the Nominating Committee by May 05, 2023. No nominations will be accepted after that date.
  5. The Nominating Committee will prepare a list of candidates to be considered by the Congregation, which will be made available in June prior to the election, as set forth in our By-laws. The list of qualified nominees will include highlights from their Bio Forms, as well as their photo, in preparation for the Voters’ Assembly and election scheduled to occur June, 2023.
